I love that book. It was one of my favorites when I was a kid. Wednesdays for me really are wacky. I take my son to school in the morning. Then come home, get my kindergartener ready for school then walk her to school for afternoon class. Of course the older kids get out early on Wednesday so an hour after I get home I have to walk back to pick up my son. Then the kindergarten gets out about an hour after I get home from getting my son. I walk back and forth all day long. At least that's how it feels. If only it was a pretty walk. Instead it's actually ugly. We cross a busy street, Where today a bumb was yelling a rap song as loud as he could, then we go across a grocery store parking lot and through an alley with broken glass, garbage and the smell of pee. I have to remind my kids to stay away from the walls. Today there were tires and an old stroller. Last week there was a whole swing set all broken up back there. After we have ventured through the alley we cross the front of the school and then we are there. I think it would be more enjoyable if there were shady tree lined streets in a peaceful neighborhood. Next year my kids will have the same schedule for school so that should help a little. I can't wait. Just a little rant about my wacky wednesday.
