The best Hot Fudge sauce ever!

I have a great Hot Fudge Sauce recipe from the Better Homes and Gardens "Our Best Recipes" cookbook.  It is easy and delicious.

Hot Fudge Sauce:

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/2 cup whipping cream
3 tbsp. butter or margarine

1.In a small bowl, stir together cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and brown sugar; set aside
2.In a heavy small saucepan, combine whipping cream and butter; cook and stir over low heat until butter is melted. Cook and stir over medium heat about 3 minutes more or until  mixture bubbles around edges. Add sugar mixture. Cook stirring constantly, for 1 to 2 minutes more until sugar is dissolved and mixture is smooth and thickened. serve immediately.

From my experience the sauce doesn't actually thicken to much until it has cooled a little. So don't over cook it, waiting for it to thicken. Just cook it for the amount of time the recipe says. This recipe can be refrigerated for up to 1 week.

This picture is of a Black and Tan from Fentons. It has toasted almond ice cream, hot fudge, caramel sauce whip cream, nuts and a cherry. Sooooo Goooood! Make something like this at home with your new Hot Fudge recipe.
