When Sheri Whittaker gave birth to her third daughter in the fall of 1998, she realized the weather would soon be turning cold and she would be forced yet again to fashion and infant carrier cover out of a blanket whenever she stepped outside. Like every mom on-the-go, Sheri was quickly reminded of how difficult it is to keep a blanket draped over the carrier handle while trying to prevent it from flying away and exposing her baby to the elements. She was also reluctant to suffocate her daughter under multiple blankets. After searching every baby store for a solution, but finding nothing that worked like she wanted, she made a cover of her own.

As the years passed, Sheri was continually amazed that no one had the same idea she did. Ten years later the little seed sprouted when her oldest daughter Kirsten became pregnant and insisted she and her modern-mom friends have infant carrier covers too. Sheri and Kirsten were convinced the world was in serious need of a truly functional infant carrier cover.

Soon everyone noticed Kirsten traveling around town with her infant safely and stylishly covered and said they wished they had one for their baby. So, with Sheri’s business experience and Kirsten’s marketing background, Sprout Shell sprung up and quickly changed the lives of new mothers everywhere. My review: I love the sprout shell. I love a product that can be used for more than one thing saving you money and space. I don't like having a lot of stuff and with a small house without a garage saving space is a must. I love the multi function of this product. It is used as your baby grows making the time you would use it much longer and more worth the purchase. You can start using the product while your baby is in the infant car seat which I love because I know from experience that using a blanket that flaps in the wind or makes it hard to hold onto the handle just doesn't work very well. Then when you are nursing it can be used as a nursing cover. Finally when your baby is old enough to go in the shopping cart or restraunt high chairs you can use it for covering up the seats and keeping your baby away from gross germs. Every baby I have had has tried to chew on the shopping cart handles. so gross! The sprout shell is well made and comes in adorable prints. Making this product a very Hip purchase. I received the sprout shell called kaleidoscope for review. I am very happy with it. The colors are vibrant and it looks great. I know the need for a product like this after having 3 children and definetely reccomend you buy one. I have been wanting the sprout shell since I first learned about it. The sprout shell is a genius product. I love it! Tell all your friends about it. I know I am.
